将清洗机的插头插入符合要求的电源插座。确保插座接地良好,并且电压与清洗机的额定电压相符。一般家用清洗机的额定电压是 220V,但有些工业用清洗机的电压可能不同。
1、 Preparation before use
Check the integrity of the equipment
Check the appearance of the hanging iron machine to ensure that there are no cracks, damages, or other damages to the body. Carefully check whether the steam nozzle is blocked or damaged, as this will affect the normal spraying of steam. At the same time, check whether the clothes hanger can stretch and fix normally, which is related to the stability of the clothes hanging.
Check if the power cord is intact and if the plug is functioning properly. Damaged power cords may cause safety issues such as electrical leakage.
Placement location selection
Place the steamer in a stable, dry, and well ventilated place. The ground should be flat enough to prevent the hanging ironing machine from tipping over. Ensure that there is sufficient space around the steamer for easy operation and to avoid steam burns to surrounding objects or people. And do not place the steamer near a water source to prevent water from splashing onto the machine and causing malfunctions.
Add Water
Different types of hanging irons have different ways of adding water. For hanging irons with independent water tanks, first locate the position of the water tank, usually at the bottom or side of the body. Remove the water tank and open the water tank cover.
Use clean water (preferably distilled water, as tap water may contain minerals and long-term use can produce scale, affecting machine performance) and slowly pour it into the water tank through the opening. Be careful not to exceed the highest water level marked on the water tank, otherwise during the heating process, water may overflow and damage the machine. After adding water, cover the water tank cover and then install the water tank back to the original position of the steamer to ensure a secure installation.
2、 Power on operation
plug in
Insert the plug of the hanging iron machine into a suitable power socket, ensuring that the socket is well grounded. The power of the hanging iron machine is generally high, and a socket that meets its power requirements should be used to avoid overload.
Turn on the switch
Find the power switch button on the body of the steamer and press it to turn on the steamer. After turning on, the machine will start heating water, and you can see the indicator light on at this time. Some hanging irons have preheating indicator lights, which will change (such as turning off or changing color) after preheating is completed. The general preheating time is around 30 seconds to 2 minutes, depending on the power and water volume of the hanging iron machine.
3、 Adjust parameters (if available)
Steam volume adjustment
Some hanging irons can adjust the steam volume. Adjust the steam volume based on the material and degree of wrinkles of the clothing. For example, for lightweight and delicate materials such as silk, a smaller amount of steam should be chosen to avoid damaging the clothing; For thicker clothes such as cotton and linen, or clothes with more wrinkles, a larger steam volume can be chosen. The steam volume adjustment button is usually located on the handle or front of the body of the steamer.
Temperature adjustment (if any)
Some high-end hanging irons can adjust the temperature. Clothes made of different materials are suitable for different temperatures. For example, synthetic materials are suitable for lower temperatures, wool materials require moderate temperatures, while cotton and linen can withstand higher temperatures. Adjust the temperature according to the washing and ironing instructions on the clothing label. The temperature adjustment knob is usually located on the side or front of the body.
4、 Hanging clothes
Choose a clothes hanger
Choose a suitable hanger based on the style and size of the clothing. For example, for clothes with collars and shoulder designs such as shirts, hangers with a certain shape should be used to better support the clothes; For dresses of equal length, use longer hangers to prevent clothes from dragging the floor.
Hanging clothes
Hang the clothes on the hanger to ensure that they hang flat. Try to unfold the folds of the clothing as much as possible, especially in areas such as collars, cuffs, and skirts that are prone to wrinkles. If the clothes are relatively large or heavy, you can first hang a part of the clothes on the hanger, and then slowly unfold and hang the rest.
5、 Start ironing
Handheld nozzle operation
Grasp the handle of the steam nozzle and aim it at the wrinkled area on the clothing. The nozzle should be kept at an appropriate distance from the surface of the clothing, usually around 10-20 centimeters. Being too close may cause local moisture in clothing, while being too far away may result in poor steam effect and difficulty in eliminating wrinkles.
Gently press the steam button (if it is a continuous steam steamer, this step can be omitted) to evenly spray the steam on the folds of the clothing. At the same time, you can gently tug on the clothes with your other hand to help the wrinkles disappear faster. For example, when ironing the sleeves of a shirt, you can use one hand to hold the nozzle and spray steam, while the other hand pulls on the cuffs to straighten the sleeves.
Ironing sequence
Generally, ironing is done in the order of top to bottom and inside to outside. First iron the collar and shoulders of the garment, then the main body of the garment, followed by the sleeves, and finally the hem. For clothing with multiple layers, such as suits, windbreakers, etc., iron the inner layer first and then the outer layer.
Precautions during ironing process
Pay attention to changes in clothing. If you find that some parts of the clothing are too wet, pause ironing and wait for the clothing to dry slightly before continuing. At the same time, avoid spraying steam directly onto your hands or face to prevent burns.
6、 The operation after ironing is completed
Turn off the steam button and power switch
After ironing the clothes, release the steam button (if it is a hanging ironing machine that continues to produce steam, make sure the steam stops spraying), and then press the power off button on the body of the hanging ironing machine to cut off the power.
Drainage (if necessary)
If the steamer has a drainage function, it is best to drain the remaining water in the water tank after use. Follow the instructions of the steamer to locate the drainage outlet and drain the water completely. This can prevent the growth of bacteria and the formation of scale in the water tank.
Cleaning and storage
After letting the steamer cool naturally, wipe the surface of the machine with a clean damp cloth to remove dust and stains.
Wipe the steam nozzle clean to remove any remaining scale or clothing fibers. Store the nozzle, clothes hanger, and other components properly, and place the steamer in a dry and ventilated place to avoid direct sunlight.
